Wow. It has been forever since the Gulf war, I was 6 at the time when it happened, and I can not stress enough how it has changed my life and shaped me as a person. Here is an amazing documentary made by a fellow NES student trying to piece together her class that was separated by the occupation.

TaqwaCore
TaqwaCore is the revival of punk music dealing with Islamic issues. The brainchild, Michael Muhammed Knight and his troupe can be seen causing havoc at concerts in the new documentary, "Taqwacore: The Birth of Punk Islam".
This will certainly ruffle a few feathers to say the very least. Never thought that a musical islamic dialogue would ever take place - its dangerously refreshing.
